| Abstract | The objective of this paper is to describe the process of the network design. This is done according to the top-down network design principle. At the beginning an overview over the current available network hardware and technologies will be made. Later in this paper the actual designing process will be explained and lastly a network optimized for medical and research purposes will be designed for an imaginary company. |
